Good coffee, quietly cheaper.
Good coffee, quietly cheaper.
What it is
the regular is an app for Brisbane. You add a card to Apple or Google Wallet, tap it at a café that’s part of it, and the discount is already in the price you paid. No code to read out, no app to open at the counter, no asking the person making your coffee for a favour.
It sits in your wallet next to everything else. Free to download, free to use.
At any café in the network. Nothing is said, nothing is scanned.
9% comes off, every time, on every cup. Not a welcome offer, not a first-visit thing.
Happy Hour
Cafés are busy at eight and empty at two. When a café opens a Happy Hour window, it’s a deeper discount — up to about half off — for as long as they leave it open. The app tells you when one starts near you. The café decides when, and can turn it off in a tap.
The honest part
We’re asking café owners what the rate, the cap and the Happy Hour should be before we build the thing that charges them. That’s the part of this that’s happening right now.
Café owners
No fee to join, nothing to install, and nothing charged on a sale that isn’t a member’s. Read the pitch, or go straight to the survey — “this doesn’t work for us, and here’s why” is the most useful answer we can get.
